National Women’s Political Caucus calling for VA HoD Candidates

Wednesdays, 6:00pm – 8:00 pm (thru October 30th)

National Women’s Political Caucus in conjunction with the Bay Area Coalition, is hosting phone banks for NWPC-VA endorsed candidates every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. We have added a dialer that allows us to leave messages, so calling is much more efficient without people feeling like they are on a runaway horse. Since our dialer leaves messages, a single person can effectively use it and make calls; it takes about 25 seconds to get a connection, even if you are the only caller. Our Mobilize link is HERE

PFLAG Connects Monthly Meetings

SUPPORT PROTESTERS’ RIGHTS – Sign on Letter and Digital Toolkit

Protesters’ rights are being violated in Virginia by the Republican administration. VDOT put up misleading signs and the Virginia state police have been enforcing the signs’ claims that “assembly” is not allowed. The actual state code doesn’t use the word assembly which the public has the constitutional right to exercise. Read more from this Roanoke Times articleclick here for link to text of article. This is a developing story. Over $2100 has been raised to get a billboard up in Shenandoah County where the arrests happened. We need to raise $ fast in rural areas where signs and visibility are important. Please encourage your members to make a donation. Please check out the Constitution Day digital toolkit for social media fundraising posts, sample media releases and easy ways to celebrate it and get that precious earned media!

Please sign your organization to these letters to be sent to AG Miyares, the Virginia State Police Superintendent and the VDOT commissioners demanding that the charges be dropped, the signs taken down and an investigation launched on the aggressive officer who arrested the woman at Exit 269. Use this form to sign on or email Freeda Cathcart at [email protected]
