When We Volunteer, We Win!
This election, we have the opportunity to elect and re-elect Democrats in Virginia and flip control of the U.S. House and Senate. But we can't do it without volunteers.
Join our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) team:

Whether you have a few hours or can volunteer throughout the campaign, your time will make a difference.
Early voting begins September 18. Election Day is November 3.

Voter Protection Roles
Election Officer
- Apply though the VA Department of Elections(opens in new tab) or your local/county electoral board [Arlington County(opens in new tab) ] [Fairfax County(opens in new tab)] [Falls Church City.,(opens in new tab)]
- These are paid positions.
- Most require you to be at the polls from 5AM to 9:30PM. Some localities may allow half days.
- You must be trained. Start the process now.
- As a poll worker, you will typically cycle through various tasks throughout the day.
Poll Observer
- As a poll observer, you will keep an eye out for any issues that could prevent voters from casting their ballots promptly.
- You can request locations outside of your locality.(opens in new tab)

- Split and full shifts may be available depending upon locality.

Virginia Voter Hotline
- Answer calls from Virginia voters and provide up-to-date information on the voting process. Volunteer from your home.
- Report all voting incidents and document any information relating to provisional and absentee ballots cast.
- Training is provided.

Poll Greeter
- Poll greeters serve as a trusted source of information about Democratic candidates.
- Democratic-leaning and independent voters often cast votes for down-ballot Democrats based solely on our sample ballots.
- Communicate with Poll Observers.

Rides to the Polls
- Make phone calls to potential riders
- Drive voters to the polls.

Ballot Chaser / Curer
- Call voters across Virginia or knock on doors of those voters whose mail-in ballot may have been rejected and needs to be "cured" for their vote to count.
