No Kings 3-From the Bridges to Hands Across Arlington to Vote Yes Across Virginia
Note: These emails are sent weekly and include timely information and links, which may expire over time.
Yesterday, something powerful happened in Arlington.
To every WE OF ACTION volunteer and every No Kings participant who showed up on the bridges and along Glebe Road for Hands Across Arlington—thank you. You brought your voices, your courage, your signs, and your hope. You showed what community looks like when it stands together.
A special thank you to the people behind the scenes—the planners, organizers, captains, care bears, and quiet leaders who worked tirelessly to make this moment possible. Your dedication may not always be visible, but it is deeply felt. This movement stands because of you.
We were also honored to once again be joined by Bill Nye, the Science Guy, who attended his third WOFA event and reminded us that standing up for our communities and our future is something we can all be part of.

For a moment, we were more than individuals—we were a human chain of connection, resistance, and belief in something better. That matters. It always has, and it always will.
Thanks to everyone who left such thoughtful, positive comments on Mobilize. Your words meant so much to our team. We read them, we felt them, and they reminded us why this work matters. 99% Positive comments!

We know the sign-up process felt overwhelming for some, and we truly appreciate your patience. We are all volunteers doing our best to keep these events safe and organized. Your feedback helps us learn and improve each time.Coordinating an event that stretched across 8.2 miles required intention—ensuring we had safety captains in place and that every section was supported, even those with fewer people. And what we saw was powerful. In quieter areas, neighbors connected, asked questions, and learned more about WE OF ACTION and the redistricting amendment. That matters. We knew residential areas might be smaller, but they created meaningful moments of connection.
Take a moment to recognize what we accomplished together:
Over 5,000 people showed up—across our 20 bridges and throughout Hands Across Arlington. At 2:30 p.m., we saw a surge as people returned from the March to DC to join us.
That is extraordinary considering that there were more competing events this time, many families were traveling for Spring Break, and it was cold. But still—you showed up.

That speaks volumes.
We are also excited to see more groups joining this movement and giving people more ways to engage during No Kings. That’s how movements grow—through shared energy and an expanding community.
This was a wonderful turnout. A powerful showing. And something we should all be proud of.

But as meaningful as yesterday was, it was never the finish line.
The work continues.
The energy we felt must turn into action. The unity we created must turn into impact. And the most powerful tool we have is still ahead of us:
VOTE.

Talk to your neighbors. Call your friends. Show up again. Because change doesn’t just happen in moments—it happens through commitment. Join us.
Let’s carry yesterday forward.
Let’s keep working together to protect our democracy—because in these United States, we have NO KINGS.
Vote YES, Virginia.
In solidarity,
Micaela
