🤝ABOUT THE EVENT:

This Saturday, we’re coming together as a community to line the sidewalks of Glebe Road, forming a continuous, people-powered line of joy stretching 8.2 miles from Chain Bridge in North Arlington to Four Mile Run Park in South Arlington.

This is a peaceful protest rooted in joy, unity, and community. Yes, we’re showing up in opposition to injustice—standing against Trump’s authoritarian actions, spreading awareness about the upcoming Virginia redistricting election on April 21st, and speaking out against the unlawful injustices carried out by ICE against innocent, law-abiding Americans—but just as importantly, we are celebrating what brings us together: love.

💛 This is about connection.
💛 This is about showing up for each other as a community.
💛 This is about finding JOY in the resistance!

We will have designated SAFETY CAPTAINS wearing neon safety vests 🦺stationed all along the route to ensure participant safety and ensure we stay on sidewalks and don’t block any streets or businesses—this is a visible, welcoming, and positive presence across Arlington.

🚌IMPORTANT NOTE: The WMATA operates the A70 MetroBus up and down Glebe throughout the day, with many bus stops on both sides of the road. PLEASE keep these areas clear so we don’t disrupt passengers getting on and off.

• Your favorite resistance gear, or just your brightest colors ✊🌈
• Inflatable Costumes (HIGHLY encouraged if you have them!)
• Friends, family, and great energy

📝 How to join (if you have a minute):

There is a two-part signup:

2. Find your spot along the route at the AirTable at the bottom of this webpage: wofava.org/no-kings-3/ 

Taking the time to do both of these steps would help the organizers send you event communications and manage crowd distribution, HOWEVER— we are only THREE DAYS AWAY from the event! If you don’t get to both steps, please don’t let that stop you. Regardless of signups, we would still be incredibly happy to see you show up whenever and wherever between 1-3 pm on Glebe Rd this Saturday! Your presence matters.

🚨 PRIORITY: Stations 31–43
From just past South Arlington Pupatella (1621 S Walter Reed Dr) down to National Gateway near Four Mile Run, 👉 Stations 36 & 37 currently have NO ONE signed up 😱 — let’s rally and fill this final stretch for a strong finish!

Also needing more folks:

• Stations 2–7: N Wakefield St (near Jamestown Elementary) → Washington Golf & Country Club
• Stations 25–27: Dominion Apartments (South of Route 50, near Thomas Jefferson Community Center/Middle School and Ruthie’s All Day) and to 9th St S (Near Columbia 
• Pike)
