Early Voting and Vino with WofA!
Our monthly membership meeting is all action! We will meet at 2100 Clarendon Blvd. to cast our early vote for the Democratic primary election on June 18, 2024. Five candidates are vying for one vacant at-large seat on the Arlington County Board. The primary will determine who will represent the Democratic Party on the November ballot. Fundraiser for North Carolina with Heather Cox Richardson as Keynote Speaker
All in for NC and friends are joining with the States Project to raise money for the States Project’s NC efforts. Democrats need to add only one more seat in the state legislature to break the Republican supermajority. President Biden is prioritizing NC which he lost by less than 1.4% in 2020. NC has a Supreme Court race and one of the most consequential Governor’s races in the country. The Republican candidate for Governor is racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, a Holocaust denier, and anti-women. He wants a total abortion ban. He has said: “Once you make a baby, it’s not your body anymore – it’s y’all’s body.” DONATE and REGISTER HERE.

This year’s Women’s Summit is at the new Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA, with pre-event activities on Friday 6/28/24 and the main event on Saturday 6/29/2024. In this critical presidential election year, the 8th annual Women’s Summit will be like no other – bringing together activists, advocates, candidates, and leaders from across the country. The Arlington Democrats will hold a vote of Democratic community members to endorse two candidates for the November General Election ballot. This endorsement vote process is in lieu of a primary because School Board candidates are not listed by Party on the ballot in Arlington. Details HERE. VADems Voter Protection Team – Poll Observers Needed
The VADems are recruiting volunteers to serve as poll observers and cure volunteers. Please note that you must be a registered Virginia voter to serve as an inside poll observer, but we welcome our out-of-state friends to sign up as an outside observer or cure volunteer.
