WofA Membership Meeting – Lyon Village Community House 1920 N Highland St, Arlington, VA 
Guest Speaker: Jackson Miller from Tim Kaine’s Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign and Isaiah Thaxton, Coordinated Campaign Regional Director for Arlington and Alexandria. They will give updates and actions to flip Virginia Blue. Bring a non-alcoholic beverage (no alcohol is permitted at LVCC) or snack to share. Social from 6:30-7 pm, Meeting starts at 7 p.m. Clarendon Metro accessible

CAMP WOFA IS COMING August 12-23 SAVE THE DATES!
Our WOFA founder and WOFA Camp director is Micaela Pond, and she has put together some exciting events for you amazing WOFA activists! Go for the Gold and attend all five events! Gold Medalists will receive a WOFA t-shirt! 
– Mon. August 12- WOFA Membership Meeting at Lyon Village Community Center 1920 N. Highland St, Arlington, VA 22201 6:30-8:00 p.m. 
– Tues. August 13- What is Project 2025? – Learn about it and ask questions at 7 p.m. Special Guest Sharon White from Red, Wine and Blue, NOVA Squad. The Ponderosa 1618 North Adams St. Arlington, VA. 22201
– Wed. August 14 – Join or Die movie screening. Based on the book Bowling Alone by Robert Putnam at 7:00 p.m. “A film about why you should join a club and why the fate of America depends on it.”  Location TBD -E-mail Micaela if you know you are interested in coming to this. If we have over 50 people we can go to Arlington Cinema Drafthouse.
– Thurs. August 15 -All in for Harris Rock the Vote Paint Party 5:00-7:00 p.m. – We will be sharing ways you can get involved. Chucks and Pearls are encouraged! Bring a beverage, or snack to share! The Ponderosa 1618 North Adams St. Arlington, VA. 22201 
– Fri. August 16- Happy Hour and Postcard Party at Mark Teel’s House 4730 23rd St.N Arlington, VA Bring a beverage/snack to share. We will write postcards to swing states and letters with Working America.
– Sun. August 18- Post Card Party at Mark Teel’s House 4730 23rd St.N Arlington, VA Bring a beverage or snack to share. We will write postcards to swing states and letters with Working America from 3-5 p.m. 
– August 19-23- DNC Convention-watch parties at various locations. TBA

NAACP-Annual School Supply Drive
NAACP Arlington Branch and the Arlington Coalition of Black Clergy are hosting their annual school supply drive benefiting students across Arlington. Your donation will be used to purchase much needed supplies and backpacks for students and families who need help. We greatly appreciated your consideration and donation. Please donate HERE.

Summer Postcard Parties 
We will write postcards to Swing States and letters to voters! Join us and bring a friend. Stamp donations are appreciated but not necessary. Mark Teel has graciously offered his home (4730 23rd St. N. Arlington, VA on the following dates:  
August 4th 3-5 p.m. 
August 11th 3-5 p.m.
August 18th 3-5 p.m. 
September 1st 3-5 p.m.
*If you are willing and would like to host postcard parties, let us know and we can help you obtain the postcards and publish your event in What’s up WOFA! Thank you to Trish Brown, Sheila Taylor, Donelle Sawyer, Janis Gunel, Elizabeth Fogarty and others who have been writing all summer! We have finished 1,000 postcards to North Carolina, 1000 letters with Vote Forward and have just sent out 1,000 postcards to Pennsylvania.
