CALLS TO ACTION

TELL THE WHITE HOUSE – Say NO to Death Penalty
Donald Trump executed more people during his first term as president than all the past 10 administrations combined, and he has promised to expand the use of the death penalty even more in his second. Please urge President Biden to commute all federal death sentences before his time as president ends.
Sign ACLU Petition
Call the White House

SEND AN EMAIL – Certify the Equal Rights Amendment
The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), which will update the US Constitution to protect the equality of rights under the law regardless of sex, can be added to the Constitution with one action. Urge President Biden to instruct the US Archivist to certify and publish the ERA in the Constitution! Equality cannot wait. Send League of Women Voters letter

DONATE – Support Vote Equality’s (voteequality.us) Postcard Campaign
Vote Equality is leading a big activism push to get the ERA published before Biden leaves office. They had an editorial in USA Today last week about it. The organizers are short on money for getting postcards shipped to volunteers to run postcard writing parties for a mass mailing planned for December 10th. They said it’s hundreds of dollars they need to raise for it. You can contribute here

CONTACT YOUR REPS – Stop Mass Deportations
Trump has made plain his inhumane desire to aggressively target millions of immigrant community members who live in our neighborhoods, attend our schools, and run small businesses in our communities.Call on Congress to cut funding to DHS immigration enforcement and prevent Trump from having access to the resources he needs to carry out his mass deportation plans.
