Fundraiser to Support Canvassing by trusted messengers in North Carolina
Raising funds for 4 community based organizations with deep ties to their working-class, multiracial bases – SIEMBRA NC, NC ASIAN AMERICANS TOGETHER (NCAAT), DOWN HOME NC, and CAROLINA FEDERATION.  Funds raised will go entirely to their canvassing efforts using trained and trusted field workers.  They plan to knock over 1.4 million doors (as part of a statewide collaboration that plans to knock over 4 million doors).  (Funds will be going directly to PAC arms or c4s to maximize the flexibility of their use.)  These groups work to raise up their communities all year round and, therefore, have credibility.  For example, Siembra has a successful workers’ rights program which last year won $80,000 in stolen back wages.  NCAAT reaches out to its community in over 10 languages. Keynote Speaker, Josh Stein (Dem Gubernatorial candidate and current Attorney General for NC).  There will also be speakers from each group.
