Attention Postcarders!
WofA is partnering with the VoteYES Campaign to write 6,000 postcards to urge voters to vote YES on the constitutional amendment to temporarily redraw maps for the 2026 midterm elections. MAGA states are rigging the midterms to stay in power and help this administration avoid oversight and accountability. Virginia is in a unique position to stand up to these attacks on our democracy and level the playing field by fighting back and voting YES as a temporary, emergency action in response to MAGA’s election cheating.
We hope to have the postcards in about a week, so we’re tentatively planning to meet at Clarendon Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 28, from 10am-12pm. These postcards will entail very little writing, so we should be able to knock them out at a much faster pace than in the past.
Postcards get voters to the polls but postcard stamps are expensive! As always, donations of postcard postage stamps are greatly appreciated – bring them to our next WofA Membership Meeting or Postcard Party. If you’re able, you can also make a donation to WofA to help offset the cost of the additional stamps needed HERE

Changes to USPS Postmarking – Impact on Mail-In Ballots, Tax Returns and More – one more reason to vote Early In-Person!
The USPS recently changed its postmark policy (late 2025) so that most mail is now postmarked at regional processing centers, not when dropped off, meaning the date on the stamp can be days after mailing, potentially causing late penalties for tax/legal deadlines. To get a true date-of-mailing postmark, you must go inside a Post Office and request a free manual postmark at the counter; otherwise, mail time-sensitive items much earlier or use online/drop-box options to avoid issues.
