WofA’s Spring Online Auction
As you know, “Good Trouble” costs money–from postcard stamps to bridge letters, craftivism supplies and care bear bags, space rental, insurance, and Zoom subscriptions! In recognition of these costs and to build our community, WofA is putting on an online auction this May and we are looking for contributions. Here are 3 ways you might contribute:
1). Donate a service, lesson, or experience: Services are a great type of donation, as there is no specific price tag for their value. Consider things like dog walking (a very popular item!), hands-on gardening advice, resume review, a photography or PowerPoint lesson, a photo shoot, or home baked cookies. One study found that over 70% of auction bidders prefer experiences – e.g. cooking classes, historical tours, tickets to events, a closet clean-up – to products. Know any talented/famous people in your neighborhood who might contribute a coffee, a tour, a class or tutorial?
2). Donate an item: This can be something you make (a homemade scarf, necklace or other artwork); a brand new item in your home you no longer want; or an item you purchase from a local store or restaurant (gift card or merchandise). For options 1-2, fill out THIS FORM
3). Donate directly: From $5 to $100 (or more!), if you prefer to donate directly, we can also use some portion of funds to create auction items such as a basket of spa goods or “Good Trouble” gear. Donate HERE
Above all, we appreciate your TIME in this fight for democracy and there is no obligation to contribute. We are grateful for each and every WofA member and your solidarity in this time!

IMMIGRATION
Important Updated Immigration Resources!
More than 300 Arlingtonians have been abducted by ICE.
These are our neighbors. They work and shop at our businesses. They worship with us at our churches, mosques, and temples. Their kids go to APS with our kids and play with them at our parks and playgrounds. Take action to protect and support our immigrant neighbors – sign up for our Direct Action Team HERE

NEW! WofA Membership Meeting Schedule!!!
Fourth Mondays at Clarendon Presbyterian Church 6:45-8:00 p.m
Changes to USPS Postmarking – Impact on Mail-In Ballots, Tax Returns and More – one more reason to vote Early In-Person!
The USPS recently changed its postmark policy (late 2025) so that most mail is now postmarked at regional processing centers, not when dropped off, meaning the date on the stamp can be days after mailing, potentially causing late penalties for tax/legal deadlines. To get a true date-of-mailing postmark, you must go inside a Post Office and request a free manual postmark at the counter; otherwise, mail time-sensitive items much earlier or use online/drop-box options to avoid issues.
