Join WofA on Thursday, July 17th as we honor the late, great John Lewis by taking to the bridges and making some Good Trouble! Sign up for a morning shift or evening shift! After signing up, our fabulous Bridge Captains will reach out a few days before with everything you need to know. Let’s show up loud, proud, and ready to inspire – just like Congressman Lewis would have wanted.

Postcards in the Parlor

Fabulous postcarders will be meeting in the White Parlor at Clarendon Presbyterian Church on Saturday, 7/19, from 10am-12pm. We’ll be finishing up our original Nicole Cole postcards, as well as writing cards to Cole voters who usually vote absentee ballot – so a quasi-get out the vote and reminder card. It’s BYOB & perhaps something to share. If you’re new to the group, please come to the lower door off the church parking lot & text the number posted there to be let in.

Support our WofA advocates addressing their concerns about ICE in Arlington.

During the non-agenda item public comment period at this Saturday’s Arlington County Board Meeting Wofa speakers will speak about the following concerns:

1. General Information on ICE Abuses

2. The Need for an ICE Bounty Hunter Investigation

3. “ICE HW” for Board Members to do during the August Recess

4. How FLOCK License Plate Readers are aiding ICE in kidnapping our neighbors

The more people we have standing in the audience as our members speak, the better. Signs are welcome too.

Put on your legwarmers and tie up those side ponies! Let’s show we’re not just “Livin’ on a Prayer”, we are …of Action! You are invited to an evening of joy, connection, and 80s dancing at a beautiful setting in North Arlington. This is a dance protest – we may enjoy 80s dancing, but we are NOT going back! Expect music, laughter, delicious dinner bites and a fully stocked bar.
