Knock Doors in Ohio for Sherrod Brown & David Pepper!
This summer and fall, the Arlington Dems and progressive partner groups across the DMV will be leading weekend road trips to Columbus, Ohio to knock doors. Ohio is back to being a swing state this year, and we’re going to help re-elect Sherrod Brown and take back the Senate, as well as making Amy Acton as Governor, David Pepper LG, and flipping the nearby Ohio 15th District. These trips are designed to be joyful, social, and open to folks of all levels of experience. We’ll be carpooling there and back, staying with volunteer hosts, meeting for a group dinner, and meeting lots of voters who are sick of the madness. More Info & Sign Up HERE

Certain moments in our history have been inflection points where individuals have stood up to protect civil and voting rights. The election this fall is our opportunity to stand up for free and fair elections. Poll observers are needed in local precincts in Fairfax County. Please consider volunteering to serve as a poll observer or ask friends or family that might be interested. Mutual Aid
An important part of caring for our immigrant neighbors is ensuring they have the resources necessary to survive. We have several mutual aid requests that have come through trusted partners.
Some good news! Two little girls have been reunited with their mother after she was deported. Thank you for to those who helped cover the cost of airplane tickets for the girls and a chaperone!!
- Nat is taking care of her 4 kids after her husband was deported to their home country. She is looking to cover the rent for July for the room she shares with the kids. Please donate here.
- Another mom who had been previously detained, is seeking asylum for herself and her kids. She needs funds to cover the costs for the process. Please donate here.
- A local community organizer needs help replacing the car that allowed him to transport community members, mutual aid supplies, and more. To help replace it and allow him to continue this work, please see here.
- Farmville Detention Center keeps detainees in inhumane conditions, including broken air conditioners during the recent heat wave. Donate to commissary funds to support detainees through La ColectiVA here.
- Lilian’s family is raising funds for attorney’s fees and other costs to bring her home after she was detained by ICE. Please donate here.

CALLS TO ACTION
Call your US senators to urge them to take action to permanently end Trump’s illegal war in Iran and refuse his demand for $87 billion in additional funding. The three US servicemembers who were tragically killed this weekend won’t be the tipping point for Trump and Hegseth — in fact, they are escalating their attacks and turning this aimless campaign into a new forever war. Trump has defied the American people and bipartisan War Powers resolutions, and our senators must use every tool available to end this unconstitutional war, starting by refusing to give a single dime to fund more death and destruction. After calling your senators, call your representative, too.
If you have a Democratic US senator, keep calling them to oppose the CLARITY Act, the toothless crypto regulation bill that wouldn’t actually regulate Trump’s crypto empire at all.The Senate could vote on the CLARITY Act within days. Despite Trump’s $1.4 billion profit from the crypto industry in 2025, this “regulation” bill wouldn’t address Trump’s crypto corruption in any way. 78 House Dems voted to pass this feckless legislation last year — our senators cannot join them.
