#HANDSOFF
Thank you, to All that came out for the #HandsOff on Saturday! We had a great turnout for the Arlington Pre-Rally, where we brushed up on our chants and learned some new ones. Our planned meet up with Congressman Don Beyer and staff went smoothly and was a great success. There were additional WofA and other Progressive Groups that joined up to hear his words of wisdom and urgency – then on to the Rally!

Meet WofA’s Power Pack Candidates!
This year, WofA has the very exciting option of supporting a “Power Pack” – this particular group is more like the “Dream Team”! These candidate’s districts are geographically close to each other, enabling them to provide support to each other and allow others easy access to each of them. Candidates Stacey Carroll and Nicole Cole will be led by Delegate Josh Cole, whose seat is considered to be a “Must Hold”, while seats in HoD 64 (Carroll) and 66 N. Cole) are considered to be “Flippable”. All three of their districts are located in the Fredericksburg area – making them accessible for canvassing and other types of support. Please click on the candidates’ links for more info. Coming soon: updates on WofA’s efforts to support Lily Franklin (HoD 41) To learn more, please sign up for Team 2 Voting & Elections

Postcards in the Purple Parlor!
We’ll be meeting in the Purple Parlor at Clarendon Presbyterian Church from BYO beverage (and a treat, if so inclined). We are sending hard hitting messages to women who lean Democrat or Republican and haven’t voted in past elections. We say “lean” in Virginia because no one registers for a party in our state. This is the earliest we’ve ever sent postcards and we’ve never messaged like this before. Our goal is to wake these women up to pay attention to what is happening in Virginia. The second phase of this campaign will be to follow up with these voters with postcards asking them to vote for democrats this fall.
Monday, April 14th 6:30pm – 8:00pm
