Note: These emails are sent weekly and include timely information and links, which may expire over time.

THANK YOU!!! To every WE OF ACTION volunteer and every No Kings participant who showed up on the bridges and along Glebe Road for Hands Across Arlington—thank you. The energy we felt must turn into action. The unity we created must turn into impact. And the most powerful tool we have is still ahead of us… read more

Let’s put all that NK3 Energy to good use – choose a Vote YES action today!

REDISTRICTING – VOTE YES

Highest Priority!!!  3 Important Actions to Take NOW

Our biggest hurdle isn’t support – it’s awareness. Many “YES” voters simply don’t know about the referendum, why it matters, or when and where to vote. They’re out there – we just need to reach them. Right now, The most effective ways to fight back against the regime in Washington’s power grab are:

1) Vote Early and urge neighbors and friends to Vote Early –  Share Early Voting info HERE

2) Canvassing (includes no-contact lit drops) – see below

3) Phone Banks – see below

Vote YES Canvassing (including Non-Contact Lit Drops)

These efforts are working. Canvassing has been especially impactful with “friendly doors,” and updated dialers are making phonebanking easy and efficient. Every conversation matters. Every door matters. Please sign up for a shift – or two, or three!

Daily! Various Times and Shifts throughout Virginia

UPCOMING EVENTS & ACTIONS

Tuesday, March 31st

International Transgender Day of Visibility

Did you know that March 31st is the International Transgender Day of Visibility? Started in 2010, this day is an opportunity to affirm the existence and value of our transgender friends and neighbors and to learn more about their experiences. Showing up as an ally for this community is so important, especially now as they are under direct attack from the Trump administration, which seeks to deny their existence. It’s a beautiful thing to know people who are different from us and to learn from each other! There are many resources to inform yourself about the trans community and a few good places to start are: HRC | Trans Day of Visibility and https://christopherstreetproject.org/ and https://www.equalityarlington.org/.  See April 8th’s event: Arlington Trans Youth Quilt Unveiling & Reception at Central Library below.

Virginia Redistricting: Voter Conversation Training

Whether you’re talking with strangers or chatting with friends at a dinner party, whether you plan to canvass or phonebank, this workshop will help you have effective conversations with voters about Virginia’s upcoming redistricting referendum on April 21. Many voters are not yet aware of this special election—or what the proposed constitutional amendment would do. Join us to learn how to explain the issue clearly, build trust with voters, and help ensure people understand what’s at stake.

Elizabeth Chur, author of The Joy of Talking Politics with Strangers, will lead one of her renowned virtual training workshops on April 7, from 7–8:15 pm ET. She’ll share practical strategies for building rapport and earning voters’ trust, demonstrate how to explain this complex issue in clear, understandable terms, and offer approaches for helping voters work through any mixed feelings about the proposed amendment.

IMMIGRATION

Important Updated Immigration Resources!

More than 300 Arlingtonians have been abducted by ICE.

These are our neighbors. They work and shop at our businesses. They worship with us at our churches, mosques, and temples. Their kids go to APS with our kids and play with them at our parks and playgrounds. Take action to protect and support our immigrant neighbors – sign up for our Direct Action Team HERE

Support our Immigrant Communities Training

The New Virginia Majority (NVM) Solidarity Committee connects Virginia residents with citizenship or documentation privileges who want to support immigrant communities with meaningful action opportunities. First, you fill out this form so you can be safely vetted, then you will be given sign-up links to trainings

“Under Virginia law (Va. Code § 24.2-403), a 17-year-old can vote in a primary or special election if they will turn 18 by the next general election.” Deadline to Register is April 14th! www.vote.elections.virginia.gov

Changes to USPS Postmarking – Impact on Mail-In Ballots, Tax Returns and More – one more reason to vote Early In-Person!

The USPS recently changed its postmark policy (late 2025) so that most mail is now postmarked at regional processing centers, not when dropped off, meaning the date on the stamp can be days after mailing, potentially causing late penalties for tax/legal deadlines. To get a true date-of-mailing postmark, you must go inside a Post Office and request a free manual postmark at the counter; otherwise, mail time-sensitive items much earlier or use online/drop-box options to avoid issues.
